He had driven through Maine with a car he had rented in New York. He could keep the car as long as he needed as long as he managed to log on and keep the payment going, which was nice. Though he paid for its use for three months, not that he expected himself to have such a long vacation, but just in case.He was surprised to see a small town on his way back through Maine. He had sworn he had driven the same path back, but maybe he had taken a detour and not realized it. The Diner entrance was on one side and the Inn's entrance on the other side. It was growing late and he was too tired to continue traveling. The town seemed small enough to explore in a couple of days, though something told him he should keep traveling, he felt a need to explore the town while he was here.
He parallel parked the rented red maxima on the side of the road and sat in his car for a second. It seemed like such a small town that he was positive the place must have had vacancies. His eyes roamed the streets before he looked down to his cell phone checking to see if he had missed any messages. No messages missed, but a few Facebook status updates from Christina, his ex, talking about how the premier for her new movie went. He replied to it with a smiley face and a 'that's great', before getting himself out of the car. Just in case there were no vacancies he left his bags in the trunk and walked around the car to get to the entrance of the Inn. When walking in there was no one there, but there was a bell. The twenty-eight year old rang the bell then pulled hi hair back as if it would make him more presentable. When no one came he rang the bell again and rested his hands on the counter.

Takes place right after the smoke had cleared the sky from the plane crash. Ruby and the other town folk might be out helping Tessa or justing getting back from helping.
